She has written two books\, The Anger of Saintly Men (Fiction) & Scripting Bollywood (Non Fiction). Recently\, she has researched & co-written the audio documentary\, Bhopal\, for BBC Radio 4. \nScripting Bollywood: Candid Conversations with Women Who Write Hindi Cinema\, is one of the first non-fiction anthologies on the work of women screenwriters of Bombay cinema. Published by the feminist Women Unlimited (2021\, Kali Press\, India) This book will be under discussion. \nDr. Aakshi Magazine teaches Film Studies at Ashoka University and has co-edited  Refocus: The Films of Zoya Akhtar for the Edinburgh University Press (July\, 2022)  \n

SUMMARY:Dimensions of spaces of Siegel cusp forms of degree 2
DESCRIPTION:Abstract:  \nComputing dimension formulas for the spaces of Siegel modular forms of degree 2 is of great interest to many mathematicians. We will start by discussing known results and methods in this context. The dimensions of the spaces of Siegel cusp forms of non-squarefree levels are mostly unavailable in the literature. This talk will present new dimension formulas of Siegel cusp forms of degree 2\, weight k\, and level 4 for three congruence subgroups. Our method relies on counting a particular set of cuspidal automorphic representations of GSp(4) and exploring its connection to dimensions of spaces of Siegel cusp forms of degree 2. This work is joint with Ralf Schmidt and Shaoyun Yi.  \nAbout Speaker:  \nManami is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at Fordham University working in the area of number theory and arithmetic geometry. In particular\, her research focuses on automorphic forms\, elliptic curves\, local and global representation theory. She received her PhD from University of Oklahoma. Before that\, she received her Masters from IISER\, Kolkata and a Bachelor's degree from University of Calcutta.
