Event Details

The aim of the session is to train individuals from the student body to act as first responders to anyone who might need urgent assistance with regards to a mental health crisis (such as anxiety episodes and panic attacks). The first responders will undergo a thorough training session under the guidance of Arvinder J Singh.

The program is only for postgraduate students, undergraduate second years, third years, and ASP students, and YIFs.

About the program- The First Responder System is meant to provide swift support in the mitigation of a sudden crisis situation and is under no circumstances a substitute for counseling sessions or therapy. The content of the gatekeeping sessions will be emotionally heavy. It is advised to take this into consideration due to the intense training sessions and the responsibility that comes with being the first responders.
