Title: Robust face analysis employing machine learning techniques for automatic heath care.
Abstract: In the last century, automatic face analysis has been a very prominent topic of interest for researchers due to its wide spectrum of applications. In particular, face analysis can be employed for identity/attribute classification for security, and identity purposes, emotion analysis to understand the mental state of an individual, physical signal measurement and health care, etc. Owing to the real-life application, face analysis comprises a lot of challenges. Computer vision and machine learning-based techniques can be useful to underpin challenges for face analysis. This talk will highlight some of the recent computer vision and machine learning techniques to hinge robust face analysis for health care such as apathy detection and heart rate estimation Explicitly the talk will address a couple of my recent investigations: The first topic will address the convolution neural network (CNN)-based attention for remote heart rate estimation and the second topic will cover the work on CNN-based multitasking learning for robust face-based apathy classification .
