The Office of Learning Support, in collaboration with the Young India Fellowship Team, is delighted to invite you to join an interactive session with Tiffany Brar, Founder, Jyothirgamaya Foundation.
Along with being a Social Activist, Tedx Speaker, Disability Rights Advocate, Special Educator, Tiffany has been a recipient of “The Holman Prize” from the Lighthouse for the Blind, USA; The national award for being a ‘Best role model’ from the honorable president of India; “The Women of the Year Award from Hope Trust, in 2015″; “The Prestigious Saarthak Naari Women Achievers Award in 2016″ among other numerous prestigious awards! A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the former president of India, appreciated Tiffany Brar for her efforts to empower her fellow visually impaired people around the world.
She was also selected to be an INK fellow in 2019. Her foundation, Jyothirgamaya has been attributed Consultative Status by the UN ECOSOC.
In this session, she will take us through her experiences as a woman with visual impairment as she unravels her journey of fighting the odds while setting up the Jyothirgamaya Foundation with the mission to empower the blind.
