- This event has passed.
Date: December 3, 2018
Venue: Ashoka University
United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been annually observed on 03rd December around the world. The theme for this year’s IDPD is “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”. This theme focuses on empowering persons with disabilities for the inclusive, equitable and sustainable development envisaged in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
At Ashoka University, the Office of Learning Support is passionately driven to the cause of awareness and inclusiveness. On this day (03 December 2018), we are hosting a daylong digitization marathon to be organized by Saksham foundation on Ashoka campus. We are inviting participation from the other private universities in our vicinity too. We will have Saksham organization, Action for Autism, and Raised Lines Foundation from IIT put up their kiosks on assistive technology.
We have invited other universities in our vicinity to participate in this event. We hope this will bring in people to work towards inclusivity and creating equitable spaces.
