1. Can I apply to the Biophysics, Cell and Developmental Biology program if I have not taken any national entrance examination?
No. Selection to the PhD in Biology (General) subject areas (i.e Biophysics, Cell and Developmental Biology) requires qualification in a national entrance examination mentioned before such as JGEEBILS/ BINC/ CSIR-UGC/ ICMR/ GATE/JEST. These scores have to be valid at the time of application.
2. I would like to apply for PhD in Biology (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). But I have not appeared for any national examination required by Ashoka Univerity. Am I eligible ?
Yes, but only for PhD in Biology (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). Candidates intending to pursue their PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology are selected via two routes.
i. Qualification in a national entrance examination such as JGEEBILS/ BINC/ CSIR- UGC/ ICMR/JEST/ GATE (Ecology and Evolution). The scores obtained must be valid at the time of interview, if selected.
ii. In case the candidate does not have any of the above examination scores, they may appear for a written examination at Ashoka University in case they do not have any national entrance examination scores.
