Scholarships and Financial Aid


Ashoka University is committed to offering a world-class education in India, at a fraction of the cost. This is matched by efforts to ensure that this education is accessible & affordable for students from all walks of life. This is made possible through our need-based Financial Aid philosophy.


The grants awarded to Young India Fellows are in the form of Merit Scholarships & need-based Financial Aid. The Merit Scholarship is a fixed amount given to all Young India Fellows, whereas need-based financial aid is the additional financial support provided, based solely on the financial standing of the family.


Our endeavour is to provide the necessary financial support which can help you bridge the gap between the cost of the programme and your ability to pay.

Ashoka University’s generous Financial Aid policy has helped support 71% of our Young India Fellows who have received some form of financial grants.

Of these students, 51% have received partial tuition waivers while 49% have received full aid.

Refund Policy

Refund Policy on Withdrawal of Admission from the Young India Fellowship, Ashoka University

  • The last date of the admission process of the Young India Fellowship (Ashoka University’s PG Diploma in Liberal Studies) is 25th June, 2019.

  • In case of withdrawal of candidature, the candidate will be refunded a certain percentage of their deposited fees depending upon the date of their withdrawal.

Please Note:

  • An additional amount of 10% shall be deducted as processing charges from the above applicable refundable amount.
  • All refunds will happen within 2 to 4 weeks from the date of request for withdrawal of admission.
