Gunisha works as an Deputy Manager at the Research and Development Office at Ashoka University. Here, she manages the Scholar Management Wing and liaises with various departments and faculty members regarding the on-boarding process, administrative needs and tenures of all PhD scholars and Research personnel. She also works for special projects and proposals like Delhi Education Cluster, IBSC etc with various faculty members.
She earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Microbiology from Glasgow Caledonian University, UK. The exposure she got in the United Kingdom not only helped her get a deep understanding of Microbiology but also of Public Health Systems in India and abroad.
Wanting to expand her horizons and getting an opportunity to serve people in a more direct way, she started working at MyGov, a digital Governance platform, under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, to increase citizen participation in governance. Here, she went to economically weaker sections of the society and raised awareness about the various schemes of the Government that helped the poorer section of the society to claim better health benefits and lead a financially independent life. She also got the opportunity to write for various magazines in a varied capacity, about the Government policies impacting Science and Economics in the society and its citizens.
