Jishan works as the Deputy Manager for Research Infrastructure at the Research and Development office at Ashoka University. His work involves managing the orders for lab supplies, and equipment by collaborating with the Ashoka faculties and ensuring the smooth run of the labs. He is also responsible for managing research infrastructure at Ashoka; he liaises between faculties and vendors for technical-related concerns.
He is pursuing his PhD from School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University , New Delhi, in Molecular Virology Laboratory, working in the field of ssDNA plant viruses. He was also part of the Indo-South Africa joint project with University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. His work has been published in various reputed journals, Trends in Microbiology(Cell Press), Molecular Plant pathology, etc. (Google Scholar) He completed his MSc from GBPUAT (molecular Biology and Biotechnology) and BSc(Ag) from Visva Bharati University.
