Jitendra Singh

Area of Research- Labour Economics, Economics of Gender, Political Economy

Jitendra is a PhD candidate at the Department of Economics, Ashoka University. He expects to graduate by May 2024 and will be available for interviews on the 2023-24 job market.

His research interest lies in the fields of labor economics, economics of gender, political economy, and identity economics. His job market paper examines the impact of uneven spatial growth of tradable sector on female labor force participation in India.

Prior to Ashoka, He obtained his MA in Development Economics from South Asian University, New Delhi and B.Tech in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
