Nilanjana is a communications specialist whose career over the last twenty years has spanned journalism, public policy, advocacy and development communications.
She started her career as a broadcast journalist with New Delhi Television Limited and was part of the founding team that set up CNN-News18. She then moved to the international development sector working first at Global Health Strategies where she focused on public health advocacy and communications and led several international projects. She has also worked with the United Nations, UNFPA and the WHO South-East Asia Regional Office, on advocacy and communications projects that focused on healthcare, gender and human rights.
Nilanjana studied English Literature at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and has a Master’s in journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai.
