Senjuti is a literary scholar working at the intersections between law, literature, and race. Her Ph.D., submitted in English and Cultural Studies at CSSSC, explores the relationship between African-American slave narratives and fugitive slave laws with a focus on Toni Morrison. Her interests include novel studies, critical race studies, African-American fiction, law and literature, and postcolonial governmentalities. Her research has been published in Law, Culture, and the Humanities, Seminar Magazine, and Worldview Publications. Since 2019, she has conducted workshops on academic writing and research writing in the humanities and social sciences within Ashoka and beyond. Previously, she has taught English literature to undergraduate students at Bhangar Mahavidyalaya, West Bengal, and at the Department of English and Humanities, Birkbeck, University of London.
