Shamini Kothari holds a Masters in Sexual Dissidence from University of Sussex with a previous background in English Literature. She has taught courses around âGraphic Novels and other visual textsâ and âFamily and Kinshipâ as an instructor for ICT. She likes to work with film, advertising, comics, art, and theory to teach the various languages of reading different media. Her pedagogy and syllabus move away from canonical works and mainly include unfamiliar voices with important stories to tell. Her research interests lie at the intersections of culture, experience and affect through predominantly the language of gender and sexuality.
