Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy, Ashoka University
PhD Johns Hopkins UniversityTammo Lossau defended his dissertation on “Knowledge First” epistemology at Johns Hopkins University in May 2022. He has studied philosophy and history at the University of Göttingen. He is interested in the idea that knowledge is a socially established standard of information and tries to understand the implications of this idea for epistemic normativity, epistemic justice and other areas. He has also worked on understanding the trajectory of John Mackie’s work and is interested in exploring the history of analytic philosophy by looking at other not-quite-famous philosophers.
