Vinky recently completed her MPhil at the Department of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at Ambedkar University Delhi. Her MPhil work studied three courtesan poets from pre-modern India and pointed to the limits of reading women writers as ethnographic subjects. She pursued an MA in English literature at Ambedkar University where she wrote a dissertation studying the interplay of desire in The Arabian Nights and examining the positioning of Shahrazad in Arab Feminism. Her research interests include translation theory, women writing, and the intersections of genre and gender.
