Vrinda Dalmiya is a Professor in the Philosophy Department at the University of Hawaii Manoa. She has also taught at IIT Delhi, University of Washington and Montana State University. She was a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla from 2011-2013. She received an MPhil from Jadavpur University and a Phd in Philosophy from Brown University.
Dr. Dalmiya’s research interests lie in analytic philosophy with a focus on care ethics, feminist epistemology, environmental philosophy, epistemology and comparative philosophy. She has published in these areas in several journals and anthologies. She is the author of Caring to Know: Comparative Care Ethics, Feminist Epistemology and the Mahabharata (India: Oxford University Press, 2016) and the co-editor of Exploring Agency in the Mahābhārata : Ethical and Political Dimensions of Dharma (New York: Routledge, 2018)
