Ashoka University Convocation: 18 May, 2018
Professor Sheldon Pollock was the Keynote Speaker and Smt. Nirupama Rao was Chief Guest for the occasion.

Ashoka University hosted the Convocation for the Class of 2018 at its campus in Sonepat, Haryana on May 18, 2018.  The event celebrated the academic and non-academic achievements of students who have completed the three year Bachelor’s Degree Programme.

The Founding Batch of the Ashoka Scholars Programme 2018 was also awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies and Research. The Ashoka Scholar Programme (ASP) is a year-long Postgraduate Diploma for students graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree at the end of their third year. Undergraduates must formally apply for admission to the ASP.

The keynote address at the Convocation 2018 was delivered by Professor Sheldon Pollock. Professor Pollock is the Arvind Raghunathan Professor of South Asian Studies at Columbia University. 

The Chief Guest at the convocation was Smt. Nirupama Rao, retired Indian diplomat, Foreign Secretary and Ambassador.
