Manoj L N believes problems worth solving resist single answers. He practices combining rigor with empathy, evidence with story, systems thinking with on-ground insight. He studied architecture, ethnographic research with his Banjara community, and documentary photography—each revealing how spaces, culture, and narrative shape lives. Through his civil services preparation journey, it made clear that silos paralyze. Integration drives real change. Growing up in Bengaluru and watching it rapidly urbanize, he learned that climate and cities co-shape each other. Today, as an architect and urban practitioner at WRI India, he works on the country’s first-ever ward-level climate action plan, translating strategies into community-owned solutions that residents and municipalities can actually implement. Resilient cities, in his view, are built on trust, participation, and institutions that put people first.Outside work, Manoj enjoys football, pencil sketching, and exploring philosophy, geopolitics, and culture. He is a keen observer of both people and places.
