Simons Foundation

Founded in 1994, the Simons Foundation was established to advance the frontiers of research in mathematics and the basic sciences. The Simons Society of Fellows was founded in 2014. It is a community of scholars formed to encourage intellectual interactions across disciplines, and across research centers in the New York City area. In the previous years, Simons Society Fellows’ research has spanned a wide range of subjects including theoretical physics, ecology and climate, genome organisation, mathematical sciences, and concurrent computer systems.
