Nidhi Gawandi Arolkar

Nidhi holds a postgraduate degree in Geology from Goa University. Growing up among red laterite hills, pristine water bodies, and colonial homes left her curious about what endures in rocks, in history, and in people. A gold medalist at university, she has completed an internship at Tata Steel’s coal mines in Jharkhand and trained for geological mapping at the Geological Survey of India. She has taught geology at the undergraduate level for 4 years. On weekends, she enjoys baking, exploring, and music. Through YIF, she hopes to work in the development sector, making an impact on the environment and India’s water crisis.
