Peeyoosh is a Social Work postgraduate from TISS Mumbai and an aspiring researcher and scholar engaged in critical inquiry and social thought. His academic interests are shaped by the lived realities of socio-economic hardship and engagement with questions of inequality, identity, and power. He has been engaged in social theory and research spanning sociology, philosophy, culture, anti-oppressive social work, Indigenous and Indigenous knowledge systems, and policy-oriented inquiry. He is particularly interested in processes of knowledge and discourse production and believes they should be ethical, reflexive, and accountable. Alongside research, he engages with literature, poetry, and filmmaking. He hopes to work at the intersection of research, public scholarship, and creative practice to democratise knowledge and discourse.
