What are the key components of the Young India Fellowship?

The YIF is designed to provide a well-rounded, holistic learning experience. Its core elements include Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Courses across diverse fields, Critical Inquiry and Expression (CIE) to hone analytical skills, and an Immersive Experiential Learning Module (ELM) for real-world projects.

What credential will I receive after completion of the Fellowship?

Upon successful completion of the Young India Fellowship, you will be awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies from Ashoka University.

Who is eligible to apply for the Young India Fellowship?

Candidates with a recognised undergraduate degree in any discipline (or equivalent) are eligible to apply, making it a truly multidisciplinary programme. Final-year undergraduate students are also welcome. Work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Suyesha Dutta is a youth diplomat, policy researcher, and global affairs strategist. As a former Youth Head Delegate for Canada at the 2025 G20 Youth Summit in Johannesburg, she led the Canadian delegation in negotiating a unified youth communiqué on climate action, digital equity, and peacebuilding. A former Research Scholar at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, she specialized in South Asian geopolitics and India-Canada relations. She holds an MSc in Modern South Asian Studies from the University of Oxford and a BA in History and Modern European Studies from UBC Vancouver. She is also an actor with the Delhi-based Ruchika Theatre Group, founded by the legendary Feisal Alkazi.
