Mariyeh Mushtaq

An independent feminist organiser, researcher, and artist based in Kashmir, Mariyeh’s work is located at the intersection of gender, development, and movement building in the Global South. She was awarded the 2021 Creative Activism Award by the Cultures of Resistance Network and was a part of ITforChange’s National Gender Fellowship (2024-25), working on a Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and EU-sponsored project on gender and digital economy in India. Recently, Mariyeh completed her artist ambassadorship with the Fearless Collective, collaborating with Migration & Asylum Project (MAP) to create a 50-ft-tall mural in Delhi centring the stories of migrant women in Delhi.
