What are the key components of the Young India Fellowship?

The YIF is designed to provide a well-rounded, holistic learning experience. Its core elements include Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Courses across diverse fields, Critical Inquiry and Expression (CIE) to hone analytical skills, and an Immersive Experiential Learning Module (ELM) for real-world projects.

What credential will I receive after completion of the Fellowship?

Upon successful completion of the Young India Fellowship, you will be awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies from Ashoka University.

Who is eligible to apply for the Young India Fellowship?

Candidates with a recognised undergraduate degree in any discipline (or equivalent) are eligible to apply, making it a truly multidisciplinary programme. Final-year undergraduate students are also welcome. Work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Annanya holds a Bachelor of Economics, but her interests span from History and Anthropology to International Relations and Public Policy. She hopes to broaden her horizons and earn a deeper understanding of the world through the YIF. During her internship at NITI Aayog, she researched India’s strategic position in the RCEP. Passionate about gender rights, she has contributed to research on women’s safety and gender stereotypes. An avid artist, you will find her wandering with a sketchbook in hand, petting all the strays along the way.
