Alyasa Abbas

Alyasa holds a postgraduate degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Professionally, he has worked in banking analytics, along with research at the intersection of labor and climate change. Alyasa is also a theatre worker who writes short stories and poetry, with special interest toward the Urdu poetic tradition. He continues to travel across India to explore its artisanal and syncretic cultural histories. Presently, he is trying to understand the interactions of people’s self-organization with modern nation states and private capital in the context of climate change. Through the YIF, he hopes to find newer directions of thought and creativity.
