What are the key components of the Young India Fellowship?

The YIF is designed to provide a well-rounded, holistic learning experience. Its core elements include Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Courses across diverse fields, Critical Inquiry and Expression (CIE) to hone analytical skills, and an Immersive Experiential Learning Module (ELM) for real-world projects.

What credential will I receive after completion of the Fellowship?

Upon successful completion of the Young India Fellowship, you will be awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Studies from Ashoka University.

Who is eligible to apply for the Young India Fellowship?

Candidates with a recognised undergraduate degree in any discipline (or equivalent) are eligible to apply, making it a truly multidisciplinary programme. Final-year undergraduate students are also welcome. Work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

A political science graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia, his work has been featured in Down To Earth and The Asian Times. He leads the PALIPRAYAS Foundation, a youth-driven initiative that publishes daily blogs on water, health, and sanitation and has reached over 15,000 students across 100+ schools. Passionate about public policy, climate governance, and sustainable development, he enjoys reading, writing, and cycling.
