Geethanjali’s deep appreciation for the natural world inspired her to integrate sustainable ecotourism with wildlife conservation, advancing research on fishing cats, preserving mangroves, and conserving Olive Ridley turtles through community engagement at the Fishing Cat Conservancy. Additionally, she’s crafting a permaculture paradise alongside her devoted pack of canine consultants. When she’s not knee-deep in her pursuits, Geetha is fueling up on copious amounts of coffee and devouring books, sketching, or catching an epic theatre experience. Now, she aims to bring about large-scale impact by breaking systemic barriers and promoting socio-economic and environmental justice through impactful public policy and social entrepreneurship. The YIF offers Geethanjali a chance to explore how humanities education complements scientific endeavours through its multidisciplinary coursework, and she is excited to build a diverse social network.
