Learning and Engagement Module

It brings together workshops and bootcamps that help Fellows develop key skills, frameworks, and mindsets essential to their YIF journey. These sessions are designed to deepen how Fellows engage with the curriculum, with one another, and with the year’s experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

Mentorship

Mentorship combines a foundational group-based introduction to mentorship with personalised, 1:1 opt-in mentoring relationships. It leverages the diverse experience of recent alumni, seasoned professionals, and senior alumni to provide varied perspectives and industry-specific guidance as needed.

Guest and Alumni Engagement

Throughout the academic year, the YIF Team, often in collaboration with Fellows, facilitates engagement with a diverse array of speakers, including prominent industry leaders and distinguished senior alumni. These sessions are designed to enrich the interdisciplinary learning experience at Ashoka, providing Fellows with real-world insights and diverse perspectives. Engagement typically occurs through structured Masterclasses and informal Group Meals. These opportunities allow Fellows to explore their personal and professional aspirations, network with experienced professionals, and gain valuable knowledge directly from leaders in various fields.

Peer Learning

Peer learning at the Young India Fellowship is fostered through collaborative spaces—workshops, team-building, and reflective conversations—where Fellows learn with and from each other. Co-created by the Fellows’ Council and the YIF Team, these circles nurture mutual growth, diverse perspectives, and deeper self and social understanding.
