Nepoleon Khwairakpam is a public policy practitioner from Manipur, shaped by his upbringing in a conflict zone. A BCom graduate, he has worked in risk management roles at Amazon and Ocwen before transitioning to the development sector. As a Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow, he led grassroots skill development initiatives in Pherzawl—one of India’s most remote districts. He also hosts a podcast on unconventional career paths. Through the Young India Fellowship, Nepoleon aims to deepen his understanding of public policy, with a focus on skill development and employability. He aspires to build a career in academia or the development sector, working to empower marginalised youth and help them realise that circumstances need not define their potential.
