Pushpendra, like many from a middle-class background, aspired to join the civil services. However, he shifted his career trajectory to the development sector, pursuing the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship at IIM Ahmedabad, where he studied Public Policy and Management while working with the Ministry of Skill Development. His undergrad days were filled with life beyond the four walls of the classroom, interning with NPOs and working in college societies. Passionate about badminton, he also enjoys indie music and heritage walks. He draws inspiration from Gandhi, Ambedkar, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh to unravel the socio-economic enigmas of the day. For Pushpendra, the YIF is an enterprising space to explore self and network with a highly diverse cohort. He is drawn towards its liberal and open platform that fosters new ideas grounded in strong fundamentals.
