Sowmya Ganesan is a BCom and an MBA graduate from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Andhra Pradesh. Having worked for 1.5 years in an HRIS role in a multinational company, she is now looking to make the jump from spreadsheets to stories. Passionate about emotional well-being and mental health, she dreams of someday writing a book that fosters meaningful discourse around the subject. With 17 years of Carnatic Music training, she’s also a skilled vocalist and aspiring instrumentalist. When she’s not discovering indie music or playing Scrabble, you’ll find her outdoors, thinking up an idea for her next poem. Through the YIF, Sowmya seeks to deepen her understanding of human stories and leverage the power of conversation to foster empathy and reshape discussions around emotional well-being and human connection.
