This course introduces students to remote sensing theory and techniques. Materials covered include precalibration, calibration, RADAR, hyperspectral, classification, spectral mixture analysis, etc. At the end of the course, students will be familiar with remote sensing techniques, and hopefully be able to devise own algorithms for detecting features on the surface of the Earth. Syllabus to be posted later.
For labs, we will use ENVI software.
Course cap: 10
Pre-requisites: Either "Introduction to GIS and Remote Sensing" or test out of this requirement.
