Ashoka Global Research Alliances (AGRA) enables a dynamic, partnership-driven ecosystem for research and internationalisation, reflecting Ashoka University’s vision for global leadership in research. AGRA was established in 2024 and aims to facilitate Ashoka University’s ambition to be ranked globally amongst the world’s leading liberal arts universities.
Our mission is to accelerate a robust and collaborative research ecosystem for Ashoka through research partnerships that deliver globally relevant and actionable results, deliver state-of-the-art research facilities for Ashoka’s research community, and a cross-disciplinary meetings and workshops programme that connects researchers from across the globe.
AGRA strengthens Ashoka’s global academic footprint and fosters impactful research and exchange. AGRA is actively building global research alliances in the humanities via key memberships in GHA, GHN, and NHC, while also expanding international collaborations through Erasmus+ partnerships and co-leading the Franco-Indian Campus for Health initiative.

AGRA works with partners across industry, philanthropic organisations, academia and research institutions to build core and specialised facilities advancing research. Some of these include the ZEISS Imaging Facility, Infosys Foundation Chemical Biology Lab, and certified training in advanced microscopy.

The Education and Science Initiatives vertical focuses on building innovative platforms for interdisciplinary learning, global academic engagement, and industry-aligned scientific training. Through initiatives such as the Iron Pillar Initiative in Global Learning (IGL) and the Professional Course in Advanced Microscopy (PCAM), the vertical seeks to strengthen international collaborations while equipping students and researchers with future-ready skills and experiential learning opportunities.
Dimensions, a forthcoming magazine from the Global Research Alliances at Ashoka University. It is envisioned as a curated space for exceptional high-school and undergraduate research, creative inquiry, and interdisciplinary thought. The magazine serves as both a showcase of student excellence and a repository of emerging research, designed to reflect Ashoka’s spirit of curiosity, collaboration, interdisciplinarity and academic innovation.
The second issue of Dimensions brings together conversations and ideas from across science, technology, culture, and human curiosity, capturing the interdisciplinary spirit of Ashoka University. Through essays, interviews, reflections, and student-led explorations, the issue dives into cutting-edge research, creative inquiry, and the people shaping the future of knowledge. It is both a showcase of intellectual discovery and a snapshot of the vibrant community and conversations that define the Ashoka University and the Lodha Genius – Ashoka University Programme (LG-AUP).
