Ph.D. Students

Chanda Grover

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Ashoka University, Sonepat. I am working under the supervision of Professor Ravi Kothari in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. In the past I have been at IIT Gandhinagar as Research Fellow for 1 and half years. Before that, I worked as a Data Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services, Delhi. Prior to that, I did M.Tech from Bansthali Vidyapith and B.Tech from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

Arup Mondal

I’m currently a Ph.D. student at the Computer Science department in Ashoka University, advised by Prof. Debayan Gupta. Prior to starting my Ph.D., I completed my masters degree in Computer Science at Banaras Hindu University, working with Prof. Swapan Kumar Basu on some aspects of Cache Memory Miss Ratio and Memory Reference Pattern. My undergraduate degree was in Computer Science from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur. 

Research Interests: My primary research interests lie in various aspects of Cryptography, Hardware Security, and some other aspects of Theoretical Computer Science. I am open to read any good articles, and my favourite paper is C.E Shannon’s Communication Theory of Secrecy Systems and my favourite book is David Khan’s The Codebreakers.

Bhavesh Neekhra

Bhavesh Neekhra is pursuing Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Ravi Kothari at Ashoka University. His primary research area is evolutionary machine learning and its application in education domain. Currently he is researching on modular representation for evolutionary machine learning algorithms and hopefully optimise these networks to learn better. 

Bhavesh started his career as a Software Engineer with Citrix R & D(India) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. Later he moved to academia and worked as Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science at Presidency University, Bangalore.

Bhavesh holds a B.E.(Hons.) and an M.E., both from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.
