Born in Singapore and hailing from the palatial township of Chettinad, Aryaman spent his formative years in the hillside metropolis of Coimbatore. Throughout most of his developmental years, Aryaman’s experience with the classroom has been one of sleep-induced solitude. He knew the Young India Fellowship (YIF) was something he ‘had’ to be a part of after not only remaining awake through but proactively participating in a two and a half hour YIF class that he audited. Having been an academically inclined and curiously inquisitive child growing up, he moved to Delhi to pursue his undergraduate degree at the hyper-competitive SRCC. Being dysthymic, he constantly felt out of place in this uber-capitalistic confine where empathy played second fiddle. He thus felt the Fellowship would be an ideal avenue to recapture this now bedimmed sense of concord and communion. He enjoys stimulating conversations across the entire ambit of human knowledge & discourse and is always at the ready for a pickup-game of tennis or a round of poker. At the Fellowship, Aryaman hopes to grow his world-view, become more mindful, build lasting friendships, but most importantly – unlearn and relearn.
