At Ashoka University, we believe that pedagogy is the most significant feature that marks Ashoka’s difference from other Universities in India. We treat our students as the adults that they are, and we teach them how to think. Doing this is not as easy as it might sound, however, and the pedagogy workshops are designed to provide you with a support system that emphasises two things:

First, they are meant as introductions to the ethos of Ashoka.

Why are we all here as a community of scholars and teachers? What do we want to impart to our students? And how do we want to do it?

Second, they are meant to generate a set of conversations that will in-turn generate a set of best practices about how to prepare a course, how to run it in the classroom, and how to keep courses alive by frequently editing them.

The workshop would be held on December 8th, 2017.

Entry is by invitation only. However, the contents of the workshop would be digitized and put up on the Pedagogy Forum site for anyone to access.
