Ashoka University’s undergraduate course curriculum is taught across three semesters: Spring, Summer and Monsoon (Fall). Courses are broadly divided into three categories – Foundation Courses (core curriculum), Major & Minor Courses and Co-Curricular Courses.

Foundation courses are offered in all semesters and do not have prerequisites. Offerings in other categories differ in each semester. Some higher level major/minor courses may have prerequisites.

This is the first course in the two-semester Microeconomics sequence. The objective of the course is to provide and use analytical tools to solve optimization and equilibrium problems and
apply them in the context of individual economic decision-making. In the second half of the course, we will apply these ideas to explore choice under risk, choice over time, and (time permitting) choice in the labor market.
