Macroeconomic Theory I

Code: ECO-2201-3

Faculty: Ronit Mukherji

This is a compulsory Economics course offered by the Department of Economics at Ashoka University. This course builds upon the fundamentals of macroeconomics from the introductory courses and introduces students to the macroeconomic fundamentals of the
economy, which is crucial for policy making. It also creates a bedrock for economic analysis and teaches students how to use these concepts to make policy recommendations. By the end of the course, students should be able to relate much of what economic policies they would have been exposed to, and to critically evaluate the actions of the government and the monetary authority, the two bodies responsible for macroeconomic policies
