Ashoka University’s undergraduate course curriculum is taught across three semesters: Spring, Summer and Monsoon (Fall). Courses are broadly divided into three categories – Foundation Courses (core curriculum), Major & Minor Courses and Co-Curricular Courses.

Foundation courses are offered in all semesters and do not have prerequisites. Offerings in other categories differ in each semester. Some higher level major/minor courses may have prerequisites.

Macroeconomics 1

Welcome to the core course of graduate macroeconomics! This is the first course in the Macroeconomics sequence of the Graduate Economics programme and aims to equip students with tools pertaining to dynamic economic analysis, which can then be used to analyze pertinent macroeconomic questions. The focus of this course is economic growth. Students are introduced to various canonical models such as Solow-Swan, Ramsey-Cass-Koopmans and Romer. The course will also introduce you to Overlapping Generations (OLG) models, growth models with uncertainty and an introduction to time-series.
