Ashoka University’s undergraduate course curriculum is taught across three semesters: Spring, Summer and Monsoon (Fall). Courses are broadly divided into three categories – Foundation Courses (core curriculum), Major & Minor Courses and Co-Curricular Courses.

The objective of this course is to equip students to develop an understanding and capability to analyze important economic issues in resource economics. We will review recent empirical evidence on the various causes of natural resource exploitation. We will also discuss the social and economic impacts of resource exploitation and environmental degradation. The subject will focus extensively on developing the ability to think about issues and problems in resource economics through empirical models. Students must be comfortable with mathematics for economists, basic statistics, and econometrics.
