International Cybersecurity

Code: IR-2063/ CS-2061-1

Faculty: Arun Mohan Sukumar

This course, designed as an advanced undergraduate seminar, will introduce students to the main actors, governance frameworks, contemporary policy concerns, and banner incidents in international cybersecurity. It will also spend some time in helping students understand how the working of the Internet, as well as core infrastructure underpinning global connectivity like subsea cables, lend themselves to cybersecurity concerns. Finally, some lectures will address topics adjacent to (but entangled) with international cybersecurity, such as global cybercrimes, spyware threats, and complications induced by the adoption of AI. IR students are required to have completed Introduction to IR Theory, and CS students are required to have completed Computer Networks to take this course.
