English Graduate Pro-Seminar: Thesis Preparation

This course is required of, and limited to, ASP and MLS students writing their theses in English. It is an introduction to the art of making a long argument in critical and creative form, and will feature a different speaker each week discussing a precirculated article. Students will read and discuss these from the point of view of the architecture of an argument: questions of structure, form, audience, archive, stakes, and style will be paramount.
