Persian-2 will be offered to the students who have successfully completed Persian 1 or those students who have basic understanding of Persian language, and able to read, write and understand Persian texts. In this course students will learn higher grammar and composition; literary history of PERSIA from Samanid to Ghaznavid period will be briefly introduced to the students. Prominent writers and poets of Persian and their works will be covered in the course. Students will be trained to translate Persian literary texts into English. They shall also have interactions in Persian in the class.Besides speaking, they shall recite Persian poems and read prose passages in class.
