Statistics for Economics

This course covers elementary probability theory, random variables and distributions, sampling distributions, point and interval estimation and hypothesis testing. This course is waived off for students who have done two courses, Probability and Statistics (MAT 201) and Statistical Inference (MAT 311), taught by the Maths faculty. However, the two Maths courses should be taken before the students register for Econometrics in the Spring semester.
