The Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy (CSIP) at Ashoka University invites interested researchers and practitioners to submit abstracts for contribution to the ‘Research Conference on Philanthropy and Giving in India’ to be held on 28-29 April 2022. This will be an online conference.
CSIP is India’s first academic centre focused on enabling strategic and robust philanthropy for greater social impact. It informs sector strategy through credible research and data, convenes platforms for norm-setting and collaborative learning, and offers programmes that strengthen civil society capability and sustainability. CSIP undertakes a number of research studies focused on critical topics in social impact and philanthropy with emphasis on applied research.
The conference will be hosted by CSIP for researchers and practitioners in the philanthropic and social impact ecosystem. We invite abstracts exploring different forms of giving. The conference will serve as an avenue to inform as well as re-shape discourses as we try to build a more resilient post-pandemic third sector.
Abstracts for theoretical as well as empirical papers on the following sub-themes are welcome for submission to the conference.
- Philanthropic response to COVID-19
- New and emerging forms of giving
- Community based giving
