for high school students with disabilities

The Office of Learning Support (OLS) at Ashoka University is back with the 4th edition of the College Readiness Program for high school students with disabilities! A 3-part virtual learning series exclusively designed for high school students with specific learning and physical disabilities, this program equips them with the necessary skills and information to gear up for higher education! The program entails sessions packed with interactive exercises, workshops facilitated by eminent experts, lively panel discussions, and ample networking opportunities.

Registrations are now open for all high school students with disabilities, their parents, and professionals.*

 

Module 1: Me as a Learner and My Readiness for College Life (Friday | February 3, 2023 | 11 AM – 2 PM)

Let’s come together to learn about our areas of strengths and weaknesses as learners, and work towards preparing ourselves to navigate various aspects of academic and residence life in college!

Module 2: My Need for Accessibility and Specific Support Structures (Saturday | February 4, 2023 | 11 AM – 2 PM)

Join us for a session on identifying our specific accessibility and assistive technology needs, and mastering the art of networking with various resource people as our support structures to enhance our overall college experience!

Module 3: My Readiness to Self-Advocate and Become Independent (Sunday | February 5, 2023 | 11 AM – 2 PM)

Let’s decode self-advocacy as an essential life skill together, and equip ourselves with effective communication and problem-solving skills required to independently tackle the challenges that come our way while navigating college life!

 

Note: The medium of the program will be English.

The OLS looks forward to your participation and engagement with the program. The agenda for each session will be shared with the registered participants.

 

*We encourage more participation from students with disabilities since this program is specially curated for them.
