Abstract: Inverse spectral theory is a deep study of recovering a potential configuration from the spectrum of a Schrodinger operator in Quantum Mechanics. This problem will be presented in a simple form of recovering a tridiagonal Hermitian matrix from its eigenvalues and counting them. The background needed is linear algebra, complex analysis, and calculus.
