Dear All,
We are delighted that Avinash Pandey will be joining us for a guest session titled "AI-enabled Public Systems For Smart Governance" on 9th February (Monday) at 3.00 PM in AC 04 312.
Avinash will speak about how AI is emerging as a critical enabler of smart governance. This session discusses how intelligent systems support monitoring, compliance, and early risk detection, helping public institutions towards proactive, insight-driven governance. Case studies from various areas of governance are to be discussed.
Speaker Bio
Avinash Pandey is a civil servant in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Government of India. His diverse experience spans digital transformation, strategic enforcement, public leadership, international trade and security. With a multidisciplinary academic background in engineering, liberal studies, and internet studies, he brings a unique perspective to public service and governance.
Avinash has received several recognitions including from Special Secretary to the Government of India and Chief Commissioner of Customs & Indirect Taxes. He is recipient of many fellowships including Raisina Young Fellowship, Asian Forum on Global Governance, NEXT Milan Future Leader, Indo-German Young Leader, YIF and Law Enforcement and Policing Fellowship.
His work has been presented at international forums, including those hosted by UN SDSN, IIM Bangalore, and AJNIFM. His articles have appeared in the World Customs Organisation (WCO)’s Asia Pacific Publication, The Print, Sunday Guardian, Indian Express, and Financial Express, among others.
