During this session, students will interact with Prof. Rahul Sagar, author of a new book, titled “To Raise a Fallen People”. Prof. Sagar will speak about the importance of an archivally grounded approach to the study of India’s IR, what India’s experience of the nineteenth century can tell us about its present-day internationalist concerns, and the reasons that an understanding of the processes at work within colonialism are deeply connected to any analysis of the current international order.
