What makes a great programmer? How is programming similar to – and different from – other disciplines that require great skill and excellence? Is it an analytical or a creative discipline? This talk presents some philosophical musings on these questions and the practice and profession of programming. It is meant to provoke discussion and reflection and requires very little technical background.
